Bohème Parade 2024
Bohème is a relative newcomer to the Mardi Gras parade scene, but this year - only their fifth time marching – the absinthe-minded krewe danced its way into the “Don’t Miss” category of Carnival festivities.

Joan of Arc Parade 2024
The Joan of Arc Project celebrates Joan’s January 6th birthday each year with a medieval procession marching merrily through the French Quarter. This year was the krewe’s own birthday - its Sweet Sixteenth. Happily, Joan’s birthday also coincides with Twelfth Night, the official beginning of the Mardi Gras season.

Patio Planters Holiday Home Tour 2023
The venerable Patio Planters garden club uses proceeds from this annual home tour to help fund the beloved Jackson Square caroling event. This year, seven French Quarter houses, dating back to 1818, decked their halls to welcome visitors.

Improvisations Gala 2023
This annual fund-raiser for the New Orleans Jazz Museum is one of the city’s most spectacular, featuring Jason Neville Funky Soul Band & Special Guest "Mr. P Funk" George Clinton, New Orleans cuisine and craft cocktails, a Sound Collage lighting display, exhibits and special jazz-related arts installations.

Satchmo Summerfest 2023
A favorite part of the annual Satchmo Summerfest is the Jazz Mass at St. Augustine Church in the Tremé, followed by a second-line parade through the Tremé and Quarter to the New Orleans Jazz Museum which hosts the festival.

NOLA Pride Parade 2023
The LGBTQ+ community, allies, and supporters danced their way through the Marigny and French Quarter on June 9th in the annual New Orlean Pride and Black Pride parade, leaving lots of rainbow love in its wake.

The 2023 French Quarter Easter Parade
Formerly known as the Chris Owens Easter Parade – named after the late and legendary Bourbon Street performer who founded it – the 38th annual celebration rollicked through the French Quarter early Easter afternoon. Photographer Andrew Simoneaux also caught a pre-parade wedding that took place right before the Gay Easter Parade, the final event of the day.

The 22nd annual Official Gay Easter Parade may have been the third parade that promenaded through the French Quarter on Easter day, but the energy of both parade-goers and participants combined to finish the day with a fabulous finale.

St. Joseph Day’s Parade 2023
The annual St. Joseph’s parade marched a convoluted path through the French Quarter on Saturday evening, a long trail of floats, marching clubs and gentlemen in tuxedos offering paper flowers, plastic roses and commemorative garters – for a kiss.
