The evening begins with a concert in the St. Louis Cathedral with the cathedral’s choir and orchestra
At 7pm, cathedral officiants lead a procession into the square, now filled with families.
The square outside the fence was filled with overflow carolers.
On the stage, public officials, entertainers and board members of the Patio Planters of the Vieux Carré organization lead the caroling.
Members of the NOPD Eighth District (which includes the French Quarter) are recognized and help lead a few carols.
